Warning: This contains spoilers for both the Higurashi & Umineko series. If you’re a fan of the series, then you’ll definitely appreciate these little details that you might’ve missed the first time around. These aren’t always made clear throughout the main narrative, and require some extra attention in order to uncover. There are tons of small details in the When They Cry universe – particularly regarding its main cast – that are hidden within the various question and answer arcs that comprise the series. #WHY THE UMINEKO ANIME IS BAD SERIES#
It’s a series that presents the audience with tons of questions and though it does answer most of them, there are some things in the series that aren’t explicitly spelled out for you. Initially presenting itself as your typical small town anime adventure, the initial innocence of the show, its setting and characters themselves slowly starts to peel away as you discover more and more about Hinamizawa and its inhabitants. It's where I got my last post's image from. The When They Cry series is one that’s built around mystery and suspense.

If anyone wants an extremely funny and ecchi anime/manga, I suggest Sora no Otoshimone. If anything, the spewing entrails and sex scenes that show everything except the genitals set it apart from conventional manga. Tokyo Akazukin was.interesting to say the least when I read it. This is a lot less mature and a lot more.

MGX is really, really bizarre at first, but again once you get past it it's one hell of a manga. If you get past the nekkid/vore/gore, though, it's one hell of a manga.Īlso, I recommended this to Adam? earlier, but a lot of you would like this. Like, the main character is a loli who is naked half the time, but she's got a shotgun and kills everyone. It's really awesome, but disturbing at the same time. Because the animes with 15+ seasons are usually really bad.Īt least that's not the same for manga :3 -ĭon't you just hate it when you find a good anime but there's only one or two season out? Just finished the second season of Darker Than Black. Then again, this is the manga/anime discussion. This affected DEEN greatly as poor DVD sales has prevented them from making a Chiru adaptation. DEEN changing certain scenes from the visual novel ended up causing the mystery to be unsolvable in the anime. In the end this is definitely an anime that falls short compared with other series. However, Umineko's structure is different from Higurashi since many scenes are crucially important to solving the mystery. (I also loved the ending) It just suffered from bad production and pacing of the story. Once you get past the first few episodes and a couple of breather episodes inbetween you can find an interesting story. Not that someone knows it so I’m still not very fond of it but let’s let it slide. Boring? Not so, considering it at first still managed to appeal me into reading the visual novel. Legend of the Golden Witch Part 17: The Golden Witch Anime transposition from: Ep 4 ‘Episode 1-4 Blunder’ (part 4) & Ep 5 ‘Episode 1-5 Fool’s mate’ (part 1) Okay, we start with the clock again and, maybe, this one time it can look relevant as time is running out. This contributed to the fact that the story had really odd pacing (with the first 5 episodes or focusing on introducing the characters and then packing otherwise long and better explained arcs into 3 or 4 episodes) My main idea is if they had just stuck with the Fate route like the original plan was and cut out a couple of characters / give them their actual role instead of enlarging it that they'd have made a much better anime out of an otherwise great story. Īdmittedly, there's a lot of corner cutting in the anime and they tried to mix 3 different stories ('paths' in the game) with eachother and condense them into 26 episodes of screentime whereas it otherwise takes about 70ish hours to finish the basic story of the game. So when does Umineko become as good as Ive heard spoilers (On EP1) me813 8 years ago 1 Well, Im just barely after theyve discovered the first six bodies, and while I think the writing is good, and the atmosphere, its nothing that grand at this point. The anime falls short in quite a few ways. Am I the only guy who thought Fate/Stay Night had sub-par animation and was boring?
